Rohtang Pass -Nature's perfect spectacle . Rohtang is a high mountain pass in the eastern Pir Panchal range some 51 Kms from Manali town at an altitude of 13050 Ft. It is considered a natural divider of Kullu and Lahul Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh, in respect of climate, flora and religion. It was a lovely morning with the sun in its brightest form in the month of July, I and my family decided to visit Rohtang Pass as we were near Kullu about 30 Km from Manali on that day. We hired a taxi and started our trip at around 10:30 in the morning. Our first halt was at Gulaba, where authorities used to check vehicles for their NGT passes. We decided to take a break until our vehicle is cleared from the checking queue. We were delighted to see a group of bikers comprising middle-aged men and women on their way back to Chandigarh from Leh as the road also connects Manali with Leh via Lahul and Spiti. We all were charged up and were looking forward to a thrilling experience once a

Naggar Walks

Want to share with you all about a visit to Naggar Village with my friends in the month of April. Naggar is a beautiful village 21 Km from the famous tourist attraction Manali at an altitude of 1800mts. It was a beautiful Sunday Morning and we decided to have a break from our daily hectic and monotonous schedule. We drove to Naggar which is a place famous for many things like  Naggar Castle, a seat for Kullu kings some 500 years old, World famous Russian painter and philosopher Nicholas Roerich Art gallery and Urusvati Himalayan Research Institute besides the panoramic 180 views one can enjoy while in Naggar and its surroundings. Our first stop was the Roerich Art Gallery, after purchasing the entry tickets from the ticket counter, we visited his 2-floor house where one can imagine the living style of Roerich with his wife Helena. Their bedroom, dining table with crockery, writing table, and dressing table all are displayed untouched. Captured some beautiful photographs. Then w

Twin Lakes Of Jammu

TWO LAKES OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR Surinsar Lake and Mansar Lake are considered to be twin lakes. Surinsar Lake is situated at a distance of 25 km. from Jammu City and Mansar lake another 27 Kms from Surinsar Lake. Both the lakes are known for their natural beauties, surrounded by thickly wooded mountain ranges dominated by pine and mangrove trees. The quietness of the forest around adds to the serenity of these lakes which makes it an ideal gateway for those seeking tranquillity and peace of mind. It was a sunny day, I and my wife decided to drive to Surinsar and Mansar Lakes just for recharging ourselves. Started our journey at around 8:30 in the morning. It was the second week of February and there was some feeling of the spring season in the air. It took us around 2 hours to reach Mansar via Surinsar as the route was a bit hilly and new for us. It is a very interesting route with some breathtaking views.  Once we reached Mansar Lake, it was a wow feeling beyond our expectations,
